A woman whom the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office has had charges on since 2010 was placed in theLaurens County Detention Center yesterday, charged with depriving a Clinton man of his wallet in June of that year.
36-year-old Rita Nicole “Nikki” Sutton of 328 West CambridgeAvenue, Greenwoodhas been charged with Breach of Trust with Fraudulent Intent, $1,000 or less. Lt. Robert Wilkie states that Rita Sutton received a wallet in trust with contents valued at under $1,000 and appropriated the property to her own use with fraudulent intent to deprive the owner. This allegedly occurred June 18th, 2010 onWest Calhoun Street, Joanna. “Nikki” Sutton remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning.
The LCSO had issued a detainer for Ms. Sutton in October, 2010.
