A woman was charged with doing less than $2,000 worth of damage to a residence on Bypass 127 in Laurens. 53-year-old Janice Elaine Harris of 223 Price Street, Laurens was arrested by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for Malicious Damage to Personal Property. She reportedly threw 8 bricks at the residence doing damage to six windows, and two glass doors, January 4th on Bypass 127 in Laurens. She is also accused of writing 3 checks on the 5th of September in 2010, and of having the checks returned stating insufficient funds, or account closed. According to the warrants the total amount of the three checks was just over $70. She was released from the Johnson Detention Center on a $1,992 pr bond.
