Services for Dr. Ken Alexander

  Memorial Services will be held tomorrow for the Director of Adult Education in Laurens County. 65-year-old Dr. Kenneth W. Alexander died Thursday at his home near Laurens. Ken Alexander grew up in Union. He was a graduate of Union High School and Presbyterian College, and received post-graduate degrees from Appalachian State, Clemson and South Carolina State. Dr. Alexander was employed by Laurens County School District 55 from 1968 to 1992, and served as Principal of Laurens District High School from 1981 to 1992. He went on to become the Director of Middle and Secondary Education for Spartanburg School District 2, and also served as Principal of Greenwood High School. He was currently serving as Director of Adult Education in Laurens County.

   Visitation for the late Dr. Kenneth W. Alexander will be tonight from 6 to 8 pm at Gray Funeral Home of Laurens. Following a private committal service, a Memorial Service will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday morning at First Presbyterian Church of Laurens.

   Among survivors are his wife, Sandra and sons Greg Alexander of Laurens and Jon Alexander of Cheraw.
