Hanna Blanks Raiders; Girls Now 3-2 in Region Play
The Raiders’ #5, Ellen Young, provided the only singles game wins in her loss to Hanna’s Addie Bradford (2-6, 2-6). Young, who came back to win a match tiebreaker against Greenwood last night, carried some of that momentum into today’s match, gaining the first game of the match before falling behind.
“Hanna has a depth the other teams in the region just don’t have,” Coach Corley said, and that depth showed as the rest of the Raider singles players lost 0-6, 0-6.
Laurens’ #2 Doubles, Bailey Rush and Moriah Campbell, fell to Liz Brewer and Lyndsi Laufenberg (2-6, 4-6). The Laurens girls were up a couple of times but ultimately fell short.

The Raiders travel to JL Mann Thursday for a region match. JL Mann beat the Raiders in the opening round of last year’s play-offs before joining the region. “They will be another tough test,” Raider Coach David Corley said.
