Laurens City Police were dispatched to the Rite-Aid Pharmacy at 501 North Harper at 2:08 Saturday afternoon on a report of a possible fraudulent prescription for oxycodone. As Patrolman Issac Shipmen came into the store, a subject reportedly took off, running out the door. The officer followed the fleeing subject in a foot chase up the hill to near L & L Office Supply. The subject reportedly stopped to be taken into custody after the officer drew his tazer and threatened to fire. 28-year-old Christopher Colby Lollis of 611 Dellward Way, Greer was charged with Attempting to Obtain Prescription by Fraud and was also charged with “Flight Upon Sight.” In a warrant, Master Patrolman Issac Shipman states that on October 6th Christopher Colby Lollis attempted to obtain a quantity of Oxycodone a schedule II controlled substance, by misrepresentation at Rite Aid Pharmacy on North Harper in Laurens. Mr. Lollis was released from theLaurensCountyDetentionCenter yesterday on bonds of $5,000 and $650.
