Charges of Bringing Gun to Football Game

  A report of a man bringing a gun to the Clinton High Football Stadium at the football game and showing it to students on September 21st led to an arrest this week. Clinton Public Safety officer Cathy Anderson reportedly recognized the subject at the game on September 28th. Another officer reportedly located a bag with .22 caliber bullets on the subject on that date. The man, of his own free will, reportedly provided the firearm to officers from his home after officers escorted him there.

  Monday, Public Safety charged 25-year-old Joseph Lee Abercrombie of 120 Poplar Street, Clinton with Having a Weapon on School Property and also charged him with a , Concealed Weapon violation. He was released on a $10,000 PR bond.
