Things Said In Anger…

Clinton Public Safety was dispatched on a report of threats in the noon hour Tuesday. A woman said that a man was living with her at Landau Apartments and she wanted him to move, and that he became angry and said he wished she would die. He then allegedly asked her if she wanted him to start burning her place at the top or bottom. The victim said she didn’t want to press charges, but just wanted him out of her apartment.

When officers talked with the man he indicated he had been upset over being told she wanted him out, but that he did not want to harm her or for her to fear for her safety.

The woman was advised of the eviction process, as well as the method for obtaining a restraining order.  The man said he would not return to the woman’s residence until she wanted him to.
