The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Douglas Road,Gray Court in the early morning hours Sunday after receiving information about the possibility of a meth lab at the location. On arrival, Lt. Marlon Higgenbotham requested permission to enter and reportedly discovered three bottles used in the manufacture of methamphetamine in a gallon ice cream bucket, without a lid on it. Further investigation reportedly located a Glenfield 22 rifle inside a cloth case and one resident was placed in investigative detention. Further investigation reportedly located a tin that contained meth in a clear plastic bag. Deputies also searched a camper, where another subject was located. They also allegedly found jars of marijuana, two grinders and a red plastic coffee container full of green leaves. A quantity of pills of various controlled substances were also reportedly located.
A Meth Lab clean-up team was dispatched to clear the area, and two subjects were arrested.
After investigation of the residence and camper on Douglas Road, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested the two subjects at the scene.
41-year-old Joseph Daniel Pennington of 887 Douglas Road,Gray Court was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Disposal of Methamphetamine Waste, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of a Weapon.
Deputy J.L. Carter states that Joseph Daniel Pennington was in possession of items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine Sunday on Douglas Road. He is further charged with illegal disposal of methamphetamine waste yesterday. He’s also charged with being in possession of less than one gram of meth, and with knowingly and willfully being in possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Joseph Pennington was being held in the Laurens County Detention Center with bonds on the charges totaling $50,000.
45-year-old David Larkin “Bubba” Pennington, also of 887 Douglas Road,Gray Court, was charged with Manufacturing Drugs and Five Counts, Possession of Drugs. David “Bubba” Pennington is accused of being in possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute Friday, accused of having marijuana in several different baggies and of having three jars that contained marijuana. He’s also accused of possession controlled substances Friday without authority to have them. Cited in warrants was alleged possession of Valium, colozapan, adipex, Xanax and Lortab.
David Pennington was being held in theLaurensCountyDetentionCenterwith bonds totaling $14,000.
makes me wonder about the IQ level of the general population of laurens county. Sure officer come on in can i get you any thing. coke maybe wanna burn one. AMAZING . But it does bring one thing to mind. what ever happened to NO EXCESSIVE BAIL SHALL BE REQUIRED. or is that for charges for anything except drug violations. THE PROPER ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION IS NOT NO I DONT MIND GO AHEAD. THE ONLY ACCEPTED ANSWER IN A COUNTRY WITH A CONSTITUTION PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLES. IF WE DO NOT EXERCISE OUR RIGHTS WE WILL LOSE THEM. if the call in tip is credible enough to send an officer to search . then get a warrant with probable cause. with the places to be searched and items that are sought.
the way this country handles drugs ,arrests and court. assures that their will be repeat offences . their is no way out for the offenders. they still must live or try too. they still must try to find a way to provide the basics of life. the problem lies with the fact, that once youve been arrested and your name goes out across the community as being charged . you are guility in the publics eyes. and that includes the people who might have an opening for employment. just not one for a convict regardlees of court findings. thus here we go again back to the same ole way of staying alive. then comes the continous burdens levied on the families of those arrested over and over again . when does this debt to society ever get paid . these families are being destroyed and nobody seems to care. when is enough when we all become slaves in chains to this system we have created and live in constant fear of. as far as the family should have raised their children to do better so its responsiblity. thats impossible its like saying you shouild have known it was going to rain on tuesday week after next at 2pm and should have been prepared. law enforcement has ruined as many innocent lives as so called illegal drugs have and these are guilty of nothing except having children maybe we should outlaw that problem solved. but then were right back to IQ levels . wake up us all.

IF THE CRIME HAS NOT BEEN AGAINST A FELLOW HUMAN BEING THEN NO CRIME HAS OCCURRED . IF THIS ONE GUIDELINE OF NATURAL LAW WERE FOLLOWED WE WOULD NOT HAVE THE HIGHEST PRISON POPULATION ON THE PLANET. WHERE RELENTLESS LEGISLATION IS THE NORM FREEDOM CANNOT SURVIVE. THE PROOF IS ALL AROUND US . WHAT A PERSON DOES IN THE CONFINES OF HIS CASTLE IS HIS OWN.
