An ATV theft this past month was among the charges served on a Gray Court area man by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday. 31-year-old Andrew Christopher “Chris” Eaton of 2955 Cowens Bridge Road,Gray Court was served with warrants yesterday charging him with Grand Larceny, Possession of a Weapon by a Person Convicted of a Felony, with Receiving Stolen Goods, with Escape and with Petit Larceny.
Chris Eaton is accused of taking a Honda TRX400 ATV from 1094 Grandwood Blvd, Gray Court on October 19th without permission and with intent to deprive the owner of the recreational vehicle. The other charges served yesterday come from alleged violations earlier that same week, on October 16th. Deputy Sheriff Bryant Cheek alleges that Andrew Eaton had a High Point 9 mm Pistol in his possession at 2955 Cowens Bridge Road on October 16th. He’s also accused on that same date with being in possession of a Yamaha Grizzly which was stolen out of Greenville County, and he’s charged with Petit or Simple Larceny for allegedly taking away handcuffs from a Laurens County Deputy Sheriff on the 16th of October, and he’s accused of escaping from lawful custody by exiting the front door of his residence on Cowens Bridge Road on that date.
31-year-old Christopher Eaton was to have a bond hearing on these charges today.
