A Laurens County Deputy reportedly observed a man wanted for Resisting Arrest with a Deadly Weapon just before 10 Sunday morning. The man reportedly was observed walking out of the Dollar General Store in Waterloo. The Deputy observed the man speeding away from the store, and gave pursuit, turning on lights and siren as the man turned off 221 onto Blakely Drive, then driving some 70 miles per hour on the back road before turning onto Harris Springs Road. The subject reportedly passed two vehicles on a double yellow line, almost hitting one vehicle in the opposite lane. The Deputy gave up the pursuit due to heavy traffic at 10:15 yesterday morning. Meanwhile, another charge is being prepared for when the man is brought into custody.
