A man is facing drug trafficking charges today after a discovery made while he was being evicted from his residence yesterday. Lt. Robert Wilkie of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office went to 104 David Street, Laurens at 12:30 yesterday afternoon to serve an eviction notice on 26-year-old Randy Scott Price, Jr. Price needed a ride to his mother’s Clinton residence, and Lt. Wilkie offered to take him, but said he had to pat him down before putting him in a patrol car. During that procedure, the Sheriff’s Lt. reportedly located two plastic baggies in a pocket which together contained 11 grams of a crystallized type substance. A glass smoking pipe was also allegedly taken from the subject. 26-year-old Randy Scott Price Jr. was placed in the Laurens County Detention Center, charged with Trafficking in Drugs and Possession With Intent to Sell within a half mile of a school or park. Price was being held for a bond hearing today.
