A Laurens County Deputy was dispatched to Piedmont Avenue outside Clinton yesterday morning to investigate a home burglary. A young man said he was gone for a couple hours yesterday morning, between 5:30 and 7:30 am, and when he returned he noticed a side door was open. As he got closer, he noticed it was forced open. He entered to find his room in a mess, and that his TV and x-box were missing. He also noticed that drawers were open and a chair upside down in his parent’s room, but an initial search didn’t observe anything missing from that bedroom. Value of the items stolen was estimated at $1,000.
