Laurens City Police yesterday served a Wattsville resident with Petit Larceny and Forgery warrants, added to charges he was already facing. 27-year-old Joseph Bernard Harris “Jo Jo” of 10 Hammet Street, Wattsville is now charged with Enhanced Forgery, accused of counterfeiting, publishing and forging a $250 check on a local woman’s account at First Citizens Bank on September 27th. He is charged with Petit Larceny for allegedly taking away $300 cash from a victim on November 1st. Jo Jo Harris was also charged with Simple Possession of Marijuana. An officer states that while searching Mr. Harris during his arrest yesterday they found a small amount of green leafy substance in his coat pocket. Harris was in theJohnsonDetentionCenter this morning, pending a bond hearing on the new charges.
