The Laurens County Sheriff’s office was dispatched to Hampton Street Joanna at 2:14 yesterday afternoon to investigate a report of a break-in and auto theft. A woman said that someone came into her house between 2:22 and 9:30 yesterday morning, took her car keys off the coffee table, and left in her car. When Deputy Johnson asked why she waited so long to report the stolen car, she said she had walked around in the neighborhood trying to find the car, since it was so low on gas. She said it couldn’t have been driven far.
Stolen Car Can’t Travel Too Far, right?
