A man arrested by Clinton Public Safety Tuesday after a foot chase that following his crossing four lanes of traffic in Downtown Clinton is now facing charges from other agencies. 37-year-old David Leon Reeder was transferred to the Laurens County Detention Center yesterday, where he was booked showing an address as an unknown location in Decatur,Georgia. He had already been charged by Clinton Public Safety with Resisting Arrest and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and served with a warrant charging him with Possession of less than a gram of crack cocaine from earlier this year.
Public Safety booked him with an address on Houser Circle, Clinton.
He was charged yesterday by the State with Violation of Probation, accused of not reporting to his supervising agent and of giving false information about his address. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office has also charged him with Assault and Battery 3rd Degree. He is accused of hitting another man several times with his fist during an altercation August 18th onEvans Drive,Clinton.
Reeder was given a PR bond on the Resisting Arrest charge, but $15,000 and $5,000 bonds on the Clinton drug charges. A $1,092 bond was set on the County Simple Assault charge. Reeder was awaiting a bond hearing this morning on the Probation Violation.
