Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges

Clinton Public Safety Officer Christopher Harris observed a vehicle traveling on West Main without headlights at 5:23 yesterday morning and performed a traffic stop just before Airport Road. The driver reportedly appeared to be nervous, and marijuana seeds were observed on the floor of the vehicle. A blunt was reportedly found in a pocket of the subject’s sweater. The 32-year-old Gray Court man was charged with Simple Possession of Marijuana and with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
