Man & Woman Accused of Meth Manufacture

  The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Western Laurens County man and woman Friday on charges of involvement in a methamphetamine lab. 28-year-old Vanessa Danielle Benton of 844 Mt. Bethel Road, Ware Shoals and 33-year-old Henry Charles Wood of the same address were charged with Manufacture of Methamphetamine and Illegal Disposal of Methamphetamine Waste. Vanessa Benton was also charged with  Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. Warrants state both were in possession Friday of supplies used to manufacture methamphetamine on, and allegedly illegally disposed of waste from the manufacture of methamphetamine. The offenses allegedly occurred on Wayhill Drive, Ware Shoals. Ms. Benton was also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute on Wayhill Drive Friday. She was also served with a warrant from State Probation and Parole charging her with Violation of terms of her Probation, including failure to report earlier this year.

 Vanessa Danielle Benton remained in the Johnson Detention Center this morning with bonds totaling $35,000.  Henry Charles Wood was released Saturday on $10,000 PR bonds.
