The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Bramlett Church Road at 12:24 Sunday morning on a report of an under-aged juvenile party that supposedly had alcohol involved. Deputies were directed into a field down a dirt road and observed three vehicles. One was near the wood line and the two others were facing each other. Deputies noted they found that one man in his late 20’s had allegedly required teens at the scene to lay on the ground at gunpoint. His parents reportedly owned nearby property. He was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm at two teens and assaulting one by hitting him in the head with a pistol. The victims were listed as 16, 18 and 19-year-olds from Inman, Chesnee and Campebello.
Deputies arrested 28-year-old Noland Keith Oglesby of 2355 Harris Bridge Road, Woodruff, charging him with Two Counts of Pointing and Presenting and with one charge of Assault and Battery 2nd Degree. Noland Oglesby was also issued a citation charging him with Open Container for an alleged violation in the Youngs Community at 2:11 am Sunday on Bramlett Church Road. Noland Keith Oglesby was being held in the Johnson Detention Center with bonds totaling $15,262 on the four charges.
In addition to the three male teens, a 17-year-old female from Spartanburg was also listed as subjects in the case. Charges some of these were facing ranged from Simple possession of marijuana to minor in possession of alcohol and open container.
Deputies seized .2 grams of marijuana and firearms with three rounds of ammo in connection with the early Sunday morning incident.
