The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office booked another suspect yesterday in connection with a series of home break-ins on the first of the month; and there is still one more to go, according to Sheriff’s reports.
21-year-old Marqual Devine Griffin of 206 Symbolic Court, Greenville is the latest to be charged with Three Counts of Burglary 2nd Degree. He is charged with entering three residences in Laurens County on November 1st. Homes on Ghost Creek Road and Mulberry Road, Laurens and on Highway 92, Gray Court were reportedly entered by multiple subjects on November 1st.Griffin is the latest person to be charged with the three burglaries. Bonds on Marqual Griffin were set at $30,000 on each of the three charges yesterday. Marqual Devine Griffin of Greenville remained in theJohnsonDetentionCenter this morning with bonds totaling $90,000 required before his release.
Meanwhile, a news release from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office indicates that a total of four people are now charged with that series of break-ins, with each being within a four mile radius of the other.
Recapping previous arrests in the case, the Sheriff’s Office arrested seventeen-year-old Maleta Marie Waters of19 Symbolic Court,Greenvillelast Wednesday, charging her with three Counts of Burglary Second Degree. She has since been released from theJohnsonDetentionCenteron a $75,000.00 bond. Last Friday, eighteen-year-old Shake Javonte Curry of431 Hammett Street,Greenvillewas charged with three Counts of Burglary Second Degree. He was being held in theJohnsonDetentionCenterwith bonds totaling $90,000.00. As the investigation continues deputies have charged two more subjects. Twenty-one-year-old Marqual D. Griffin of 206 Symbolic Court,Greenvillewas booked yesterday on three Counts of Burglary Second Degree. Bonds totaled $90,000.
Warrants have also been issued for 3 Counts of Burglary Second Degree on twenty-one-year-old Eli James Torrence also of19 Symbolic CourtGreenville. Torrence is currently being held in thePickensCountyDetentionCenteron other charges.
