A Clinton man came home from hospital yesterday, after spending one night in Greenville Memorial with a gunshot injury to his right arm.
The man accused of shooting him spent last night in Clinton City Jail, after turning himself in last evening.
Both men were reportedly working at the Pizza Hut on South Broad in Clinton Monday night when an altercation developed during which one allegedly shot the other. Clinton Public Safety searched for the shooting suspect and at one point reportedly spotted him at or near where he was currently residing at the end of Evans Drive. The subject was reportedly armed with a pistol at that time.
Clinton Public Safety served four warrants last night on 20-year-old Ladarius Durwand Franks, listing a previous address at 102 Druwand Court, Greenville. He’s charged with Attempted Murder, Possession of a Handgun During a Violent Crime, Carrying a Gun on Premises where Alcohol is Sold and with Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Clinton Detective Lt. Tyronne Goggins states in the warrants that Ladarius Durwand Franks intentionally attempted to kill Ken Lounsvely with malice and aforethought on November 19th by shooting him with a hand gun, causing serious bodily injury, at the Pizza Hut at 926 South Broad in Clinton. Mr. Franks is also accused of possessing a handgun while committing the crime of attempted murder, of carrying a pistol in the establishment where alcohol is served, and of carrying a concealed weapon without having possession of a concealed weapon permit.
Ladarius Durwand Franks was to face arraignment on the charges today.
