The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Laurens County Hospital ER at 9:28 last night to investigate a gunshot incident. A 21-year-old man from Neely Ferry Road was being treated. The man indicated he had gone to the corner of Houston and South Harper Street Extension outside Laurens at 9 last night and that a light blue crown Vic with Rims drove by and someone inside started shooting at him. He said he started running, but was shot in the leg, and the vehicle then drove off. The injured man said he did not want to fill out any statement about the shooting, and did not want to prosecute the people who shot him should he be caught. He signed a request to stop investigation form.
