Two Domestic Violence Arrests in Clinton

   Clinton Public Safety last night arrested a man on charges of assaulting the woman he is cohabitating with. Booked at City Jail just after 10:30 last night was 22-year-old Christopher Lee “Chris” Couey of #4 OaklandStreetTrailer Park,Clinton. He is accused of striking the victim on the left side of her jaw with his fist, leaving a large contusion. In addition to a Criminal Domestic Violence warrant prepared on the charge, Mr. Couey was also charged in a citation for Public Disorderly Conduct. He was being held overnight in City Jail, pending a court appearance.

  Earlier in the day yesterday, Clinton Public Safety arrested a man yesterday from an alleged domestic attack back in August. 47-year-old Anthony Andre Wilson of 1256 South Bell Street, Clinton was charged with Second Offense Criminal Domestic Violence. A warrant states that on August 10th he placed his hands around the victim’s neck and choked her, then placed a pillow on her face forcefully, causing her to struggle to breathe, and causing her to fear for her safety. The subject and victim reportedly lived together as boyfriend and girlfriend at 1256 South Bell Street. Mr. Wilson was released on a $25,000 bond.
