A man placed in the LaurensCountyDetentionCenterback in August is now being held for extradition to Minnesota. 35-year-old David Paul Sherbert of Selmer, Tennessee was booked August 24th on Laurens City Police charges that included Petit Larceny, Shoplifting, Giving False Information to Police and Driving Under Suspension. He is now being held in theJohnsonDetentionCenter for authorities in nearbyGreenville, and for the State of Minnesota, where he is wanted for a crime that carries a sentence of one year or longer, according to a warrant served on Mr. Sherbert this week, charging him with being a Fugitive from Justice. He was in theJohnsonDetentionCenter this morning.
