The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on Milam Road Saturday afternoon, where a man indicated that someone had entered his outbuilding between 11 Tuesday night and 7 Wednesday morning of last week, taking his Lincoln Arc Welder. Following up on a tip on the case, an arrest was made this weekend. 20-year-old Jessie Roland Huckabee of 2001 South Highway 221, Laurens was charged with 2nd Degree Burglary. Deputy Steven Sweat alleges that Jessie Roland Huckabee entered a structure on Milam Road, Clinton in the nighttime on November 21st without consent and took a Lincoln Arc Welder with intent to deprive the owner of its use. Jessie Huckabee was released from theJohnsonDetentionCenter Sunday evening on a $5,000 Personal Recognizance Bond.
