The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Stop-N-Stop on Highway 76, Clinton at 9:16 last night on a report of someone being observed using illegal narcotics at the location. Lt. Marlon Higgenbotham noted that a syringe was observed and removed from the subjects’ back pocket. Further search reportedly located 2 knives, a spoon and a plastic baggie tied in a knot. Other items allegedly found in the subject’s car included scales, baggies, syringes, cut straws and a plastic baggie with a white powdery substance. 55-year-old Randall Irvin Arrowood of 105 Tillman Circle, Joanna was taken into custody and placed in the Johnson Detention center. He was being held for a warrant to be sought to charge him with Possession of Methamphetamine.
