Laurens County Deputies Hodges, Sweat, Rushing and Lt. Higgenbotham were dispatched to Waterloo at 2:51 this morning on a report about a possible meth lab.
A resident met deputies at the front door and allowed them inside, where they allegedly observed two meth pipes in plain view. The Deputies continued their investigation, reportedly finding a film canister sticking out of the subject’s pocket that allegedly contained .9 grams of crystal meth. A vitamin bottle nearby reportedly contained .6 grams of crystal meth that was packed in two separate baggies. Deputies also reportedly located multiple pills in bottles, including five determined to be a schedule II controlled substance. The officers reportedly confiscated 1.5 grams of meth, five 25-gram amphetamine pills, three meth pipes and a spoon and $90 cash from the suspect location.
46-year-old Bryan Preston Cooper of 498 Pemberton Street, Waterloo was arrested and placed in the Johnson Detention Center this morning. He was being held for charges of Possession With Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Warrants were to be sought today.
