Laurens County Deputy Michael Crockett reported observing a vehicle with hazard lights on driving on Highway 72 near Clintonat 11:36 last night. As he followed the vehicle onCharlotte’s Road he determined it was the same vehicle that he had advised the driver earlier in the evening not to drive at night as it has no headlights and is therefore unsafe. He made a traffic stop as the vehicle arrived at US 76. Smelling alcohol, he conducted a field sobriety test, which the man passed. Since he had been forewarned about the unsafe vehicle, the deputy had the vehicle towed from the scene.
