Spartanburg Police Chase Ends Here

  A police chase from Spartanburg County ended here in Laurens County shortly before 5 o’clock this morning. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to assist with the chase as it entered the county.Spartanburgauthorities were reportedly chasing a truck that had been stolen from Greer. Laurens City Police were put on notice, as well, as the chase neared the City; but the fleeing driver cut across Vern Cora Road and came onto Fleming Mill Road. The vehicle reportedly headed away from town on Fleming Mill Road then turned onto Highway 308, where the chase ended when the black Nissan truck vehicle wrecked. The fleeing vehicle showed signs of damage, and reportedly made physical contact with a Laurens County Sheriff’s Patrol car at one point.

   The pickup reportedly contained three people, two men and a woman. Two of the occupants were placed under arrest after the crash, while a third was transported to hospital with a potential neck injury.
