She Said ‘Don’t Come Back Until I’m Home’

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a location on Wilson Town Road west of Laurens at 3:50 Sunday afternoon, where a woman reported the theft of $520 in scrap metals and lawn equipment valued at $80. She said that two males and a female driving a light blue GMC truck came to her house and asked her if she had any scrap metal they could have. She said she allowed them to take an old dryer she had behind her house. When asked if she had more, she states she replied ‘perhaps’ but they should wait to come back Monday when she would be home. She said when she returned home from work yesterday, she noted numerous other items were missing from her property.
