Laurens Christmas Parade Awards

Jonathon Irick, Executive Director of Main Street Laurens was on hand at the meeting to present three awards for the Laurens Christmas Parade.  The awards were all based on this year’s theme of Christmas in the movies.

The award for an entry by a religious group was won by the Scarlett Chord for their entry based on the movie, Home Alone.

The award for an entry by a business was won by Angela Marlett of State Farm Insurance for the entry based on Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer,  and the special, Spirit of Christmas award, based on all entries was won by Mary Roddy of The Star Ranch.

Irick expressed his pride in Lauren’s Christmas Parade, as being the only lighted parade in the area, and that the two judges deciding the awards traveled here from Charleston.
