Clinton Public Safety was dispatched at 8:06 Tuesday night on a report of a woman receiving threatening text messages from an apparently estranged boyfriend. Clinton Public Safety arrested 44-year-old Bobby Timothy Byers of 68 Cedar Street, Clinton Tuesday and charged him with Criminal Domestic Violence. He is accused of threatening to kill the woman with whom he has lived with for five years, causing her to fear imminent peril. A cash or surety bond was set at $2,150. Mr. Byers was released on payment of the bond yesterday morning, pending his day in court.
