Attempted Murder Charges from April Incident

  Attempted Murder charges were served on a Simpsonville man last evening, following his transport from Greenville to the Laurens County Detention Center yesterday. 24-year-old Daquan Marquentez Scott of 304 West Yellow Wood Drive, Simpsonville is charged with Attempted Murder and with Use of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.

   Laurens County Deputy Sheriff Todd Alexander states that on April 26th, 2012 one Daquen Marquentez Scott did with malice aforethought attempt to murder a man by shooting at him during an incident at 102 Garth Road, Fountain Inn. The victim, a Boyd Street, Fountain Inn resident, is now 29 years old. A second warrant states that Daquan Scott was in possession of and displayed what appeared to be a firearm during commission of the violent crime of attempted murder back on April 26th.

  Mr. Scott was being held in theLaurensCountyDetentionCenter, pending arraignment on the charges.
