Laurens City Police and the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office have both filed charges on a woman following her arrest from an alleged shoplifting case on Christmas Eve. She’s accused of pretending to be someone else when Laurens Police arrested her at Wal-Mart.
A woman now identified as 28-year-old Tisha Lakesa Brown of 833 Sullivan Street, Laurens, was charged with Shoplifting, accused of entering Wal-Mart December 24th and taking clothing items valued at $35 without paying for them. Laurens Police have also charged her with Giving False Information, stating that she gave another woman’s name as her own identity when arrested on the Shoplifting charge Christmas Eve.
Meanwhile, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office has served Tisha Brown with Bench Warrants from Laurens County Magistrate’s Court. Issued October 10th, 2011, the Bench Warrants indicate she was convicted in Magistrate’s Court on August 11th 2010 and sentenced to 30 days and $365.65 for First Offense Driving under Suspension, 30 days and $671.56 for Driving under the Influence and 30 days and $244.11 for Failure to Surrender her Driver’s License.
28-year-old Tisha Lakesa Brown was being held today for arraignment on the two new Laurens City Charges.
