A Fountain Inn man was arrested by the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday in connection with a break-in and an assault that allegedly occurred in the summer of 2011.
29-year-old Michael Scott Neal of 135 Golf Lane, Fountain Inn is charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and with Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill.
In warrants, Lt. Keith McIntosh states that on July 18 2011 Michael Scott Neal entered a Fountain Inn area woman’s dwelling on Emily Court without consent and with intent to commit a crime therein. Neal is further allegedly to have intentionally committed a battery on a Laurens County man from Allen Bridge Road at the Emily Court address on July 18, 2011 by driving a motor vehicle and hitting the victim with intent to kill.
Bonds on the two charges were set totaling $15,000. Michael Scott Neal was being held in the Johnson Detention Center.
