The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was advised of an alleged assault on two people during a party in the Waterloo area overnight. Deputy Tonya Garrick was dispatched on the case at 2:08 this morning. A 21-year-old Waterloo woman who resided at the scene of the party had been struck in the face and pushed to the ground, allegedly by a 23-year-old man from another Waterloo address. A Second victim of the altercation was a 24-year-old man who lived at the scene of the party. On arrival of the Sheriff’s office, he was reportedly observed lying on the ground curled up beside a car, crying, with blood coming from his lip. The victims were advised the case was being closed due to lack of cooperation from the victims of the alleged attack.
