2nd Man Faces Murder Charge in Death of Debra Jean Malone

A second person has now been charged with the murder of Debra Jean Malone in early November. The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday booked 42-year-old Marion Barrett Napier of 183 Martin’s Mill Road, Abbeville on charges of Murder and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime.

Deputy T.A. Alexander states in warrants that on November 7th, Marion Barrett Napier did, with malice and afore-thought, cause the death of victim Debra Jean Malone by striking her with a deadly weapon in the head multiple times and stabbing her multiple times in confederation with Jimmy Harrison at 59 Malone Drive, Clinton. Napier is also accused of possession and displaying what appeared to be a knife and hammer during the commission of the crime.

Marion Barrett Napier was being held earlier today pending arraignment on the charges.

Jimmy Harrison was arrested in November on a Murder Charge in connection with the death of Debra Jean Malone.
