The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested five people early this morning in connection with an allegedly active methamphetamine lab found inside a car just east of Clinton around 1:45 am. Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the location to assist Sheriff’s Officers in the arrests.
Deputies reportedly found an active meth lab operating inside a car which was outside a concrete block building, reportedly used as apartments, on US 76 across from Forest Lawn Cemetery.
As the suspects were brought into the Johnson Detention Center, their clothing was being destroyed as a safety precaution due to the fumes from the alleged meth lab.
Those being held were identified as 36-year-old Tanya Leigh Pressley Eclavea of Highway 39, Mountville, 20-year Timothy Blake Hill of 218 Old Leopard Road, Clinton, 24-year-old Twyman Kyle Case of 711 Whitmire Highway Joanna, 38-year-old Benny Edward Sullivan Jr of 283 Southside Road, Rock Hill and 55-year-old John Grey Saunders of 412 West Main Street, Joanna.
The four men and one woman were being held for charges, pending warrants to be obtained later today.
