Laurens Burglaries

The Laurens County Sheriff’s office was dispatched to a Wattsville residence just before 2 yesterday afternoon on a Burglary report. A woman reported that in the past two weeks someone had broken the lock from a shed at the Simmons Street residence. The only thing missing was a 26-inch green and silver girls bicycle.



 A machete and a cell phone were reported missing from a Burglary in Laurens. A man notified Laurens City Police yesterday afternoon that someone had entered his home by getting on an oil tank to push a window open and get inside the house. He believes it happened between 9:30 and 10:30 yesterday morning.


A Fire Pit was reportedly taken from a yard on Irby Avenue Extension, according to a report filed with Laurens City Police last night. The resident said he had not even taken the fire pit from its box when it was stolen.


Laurens Police were dispatched to Laurens Terrace yesterday morning on a suspicious vehicle report. A front tire was cut on the vehicle. The vehicle owner’s girlfriend was contacted and said she will let the owner know about the damage. Apartment management was advised to have the vehicle towed if they want it moved.
