The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on Indian Mound Road, Waterloo at 12:34 yesterday afternoon. A woman indicated her house was fine when she left for work at 7am. Later in the morning, her mother called to say it appeared someone had broken into the house, so she came home and called 911. Deputy Jimmy Johnson indicated a kitchen window was open and someone had gone through each room of the house. An initial check of the house by the owner indicated some jewelry and coins were taken.
