Two Charged in Alleged Gray Court Meth Lab

  The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday arrested two men on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine at Gray Court area home in the presence of a minor child. Both were served with warrants showing their address at 143 Sydney Lane,Gray Court where the methamphetamine operations allegedly occurred yesterday. Both were served with warrants in which Sheriff’s Lt. Robert Wilkie charges them with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Manufacture of Meth in the presence of a minor child, Illegal Disposal of Meth Waste and Possession of a Weapon during Commission of the crime of Meth Manufacture. Placed in the Laurens County Detention Center on these charges yesterday were 25-year-old Bobby Lester Avery of 143 Sydney Lane,Gray Court and 24-year-old Justin Lee Gray, a Laurens native who was booked with an address in Clayton, Georgia.

  Warrants from Lt. Wilkie allege the two men had items in their possession yesterday that are used to manufacture methamphetamine and that they manufactured methamphetamine in the presence of a minor child, exposing the child to the manufacture and the byproducts of that process. 

  Bobby Lester Avery and Justin Lee Gray were being held in the Johnson Detention Center overnight pending a court appearance on the four charges.
