The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Laurens High Student Friday on charges of Marijuana distribution at or near school. 17-year-old Jon-Michael Bedenbaugh of 331 Edgewater Road, Woodruff was charged with Distribution of Marijuana, Distribution within Proximity of a School and with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon on School Property. Deputy T.W. Alexander states that Bedenbaugh did sell or conspire to sell marijuana to a student at Laurens District 55 High School Friday. It was further alleged that he distributed marijuana Friday within a half mile of Laurens High School and that he was in possession of a knife with three or more blades Friday while a student at Laurens District 55 High School. Jon-Michael Bedenbaugh was released from the Johnson Detention Center Saturday on posting of bonds totaling $20,000 on the three charges.
