In other reports of domestic violence this weekend, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Boyd Road west of Laurens at 6:51 last night where a woman reported that she and her live-in boyfriend got into an argument about how they were to address each other. The woman stated they were in the yard when the boyfriend said ‘don’t talk like that or be like that’ and began ruffling her. She would not explain what ruffling was to the investigating deputies. The officers’ noted they observed the woman had a scratch about her arm and face, but she was not sure if that was from her being on the ground or from the incident. She did not cooperate by filing out a victim’s statement, and didn’t want to prosecute. No charges were filed. The two live together and reportedly have two biological children along with a step-child who live with them.
