Meth Manufacture & Conspiracy Alleged on Four

Clinton Public Safety arrested four men last night who are being charged in connection with a methamphetamine lab reportedly found in their presence, in a vehicle in the vicinity of Gary and Thornwell Streets. The arrests came following a traffic stop that Sgt. Cathy Anderson made at the Thornwell Street Apartments at 9:47 last night. Public Safety Officers Shane Harris and Kent Prather responded with backup. Materials located in a back pack allegedly included tubing, pseudo ephedrine, liquid fire, Drano, lighter fluid, lithium batteries and coffee filters.

  The men arrested and held overnight were 31-year-old Keemarreo Alfreddrick Dillard, also known as “Shawn,” from 641 Apple Orchard Road, Clinton; 31-year-old James Curtis King of 226 Slayton Street, Whitmire; 37-year-old Chianca B. Adams of 222Morgan Street, Joanna and 55-year-old Bobby James Padgett Jr. of West Chase Apartments at 590 Phillips Street, Clinton.

   The four men were being charged with Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Manufacture of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In addition to these charges from Clinton Public Safety, Chianca Adams of Joanna is also reportedly wanted by the United States Marshall’s Service.

  Dillard, King, Adams and Padgett were being held overnight in Clinton City Jail.
