2nd Motorcyclist Charged from Sunday Wreck

The South Carolina Highway Patrol has charged a second motorcyclist with Felony DUI Resulting in Great Bodily Injury from a wreck outside Laurens last Sunday.

39-year-old David Shane Dobbs of 231 Orleans Drive, Wellford was booked in the Johnson Detention Center on that charge yesterday. A warrant states that Mr. Dobbs was driving a motorcycle while under the influence on January 20th and was involved in a collision that caused great bodily injury to a female victim.

45-year-old Phillip Charles Long of Simpsonville was booked Wednesday on the same charge, after being released from a Greenville Hospital. His wife remained in the hospital with her injuries.

Dobbs and Long were both released from the detention center yesterday on $2,000 personal recognizance bonds.
