Urine Bottle Strapped on for Drug Test

   South Carolina Probation agents arrested two Laurens County men yesterday on charges of being in Violation of their Probation.

   35-year-old Robert Terry Parker of 374 Cherry Hill Road, Laurens is accused of failing to give a truthful report to his agent by taping a bottle of urine to himself and trying to use it to pass a drug test. He is accused of failing to refrain from the use of illegal drugs.

Mr. Parker remained in the Johnson Detention Center earlier today pending arraignment.

   27-year-old Jarius Mickale Byrd of 88 Smyrna Hill Road, Waterloo is also charged with Violation of Probation. A warrant for his arrested drawn up November 19th accuses Mr. Byrd of failures to follow terms of his release including failure to report on October 23rd, 2012 or anytime since then, of moving without notice and absconding supervision.

Mr. Byrd was being held for arraignment on the charge today.
