One Arrest Leads to Another

A man arrested by Laurens Police on firearms violations this month was served yesterday with Violation of his Probation. 19-year-old Antone B. Ellis Tremayne Blakely also known as “Cheese,” of 73 Shelton Circle Clinton was arrested by Laurens City Police January 14th on charges of Discharging a Firearm in the City and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He was arrested after officers responded to a report of shooting off Spring Street. Bonds were set totaling $3,500 on the two charges, and “Cheese” Blakely remained in the Johnson Detention Center. Yesterday, an additional charge of Violation of Probation was served on Mr. Blakely. A warrant noted the Laurens Police investigation involving the alleged firing a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun in Laurens on January 14th, along with other failures in following terms of his probationary release from a sentence from a Distribution of Marijuana case.
