Second Man Chaged Following Armed Robbery Arrest

  In making the 2nd arrest in the January 10th Armed Robbery, Laurens City Police were accompanied by Clinton Public Safety and County Sheriff’s Lt. Marty Crain in going to Clinton’s College Park Apartments on 5th Avenue Extension shortly after 9 last night to arrest Travis Johnson. Lt. Crain indicated he observed Johnson get up from a sofa in the apartment and run into a bedroom; then when Deputy Paterson knocked on the door, another man came to the door and when asked who was with him, allegedly said ‘no one.” Lt. Crain then issued a citation on that man, while Johnson was also arrested. 19-year-old Tyler Grant Tumblin of 109 By-Pass 25, Greenwood was also placed in the Johnson Detention Center, charged with Giving False Information to Law Enforcement.
