Stolen Jewelry Valued at $6,000

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an address on Woodberry Drive, Laurens at 3:49 yesterday afternoon on a report of a Burglary having just occurred there. Deputy Paul Max Bollman II talked with a woman who said she and her husband had left their residence around 2:15 and on returning home at 3:30 pm noticed that the screens to the front window of the front porch had been pulled out of the window. Someone had apparently gained entry into the residence, however, by breaking the back door glass. She indicated the only thing missing was a jewelry box taken off her dresser which contained jewelry worth approximately $6,000. This included rings, necklaces and watches. Lieutenants Alexander and Blackmon arrived and continued the investigation.
