Laurens County Sheriff’s Office yesterday filed charges on a second suspect in connection with an alleged meth lab found in Upper Laurens County last Friday.
36-year-old Kimberly Michelle “Kim” Collins of 13 Tray Drive, Greenville was charged with Drug Manufacture and Possession with Intent to Distribute, and with Receiving Stolen Goods. Sheriff’s Investigator Matt Veal states that on February 1st Kimberly M. Collins possessed methamphetamine with intent to distribute and that she had items in her possession at 2734 Abecrombie Road, Fountain Inn that are used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. Veal states that Ms. Collins also was in possession of computers valued at $4,500 that were the property of Hillcrest High School and are believed to have been stolen from the school. Her booking report listed Hillcrest High School as her employer. Kimberly Michelle Collins was released from the Johnson Detention Center on bonds totaling $40,000
A man who lived at the scene of the alleged meth lab on Abercrombie Road was arrested on the same three charges, then released to Simpsonville police to also be charged with Larceny and Grand Larceny from Hillcrest High School in two cases between last October and January of this year.
