Assault Suspect Sought

Clinton Public Safety was looking for a man following an alleged domestic assault around 1am Monday morning. A woman who had allegedly been held down by her live-in boyfriend for some 45 minutes eventually fled from their apartment and ran from Colony Square to the Public Safety Office without shoes or a coat. The altercation reportedly began when the boyfriend came home drunk from a Super Bowl party and fell across the bed. When he refused to get up from across the bed so she could go to bed, she reportedly got into the bed and began to pull the covers to her. He then allegedly began to kick her and it escalated to where he reportedly held her down, began to hit her in the face with his fist and to choke her. Charges were reportedly pending on the boyfriend.
